This week features Championship athletics from Horsenden Hills with Charlie Nicolson finishing 2nd in the U15Boys Inter-counties. Others took part in the Masters XC. There was also Road racing form Florence and Indoor athletics.

Read MoreThis was a fine week for our cross-country runners, both junior and senior. At the London Cross-Country Championships at Hampstead Heath our men’s team (headed by Seyfu Jamaal, who took first place) won the event and our women’s team (headed by Rebecca Piggott, who took seventh place) came fourth. At the London Youth Games, also at Hampstead, U15 Charlie Nicolson took the silver medal and led the Haringey boys to a silver team medal.

Read MoreThe main event was the SEAA Cross Country relays where Heathside achieved Top 10 places for four of our teams, including 2nd for the U15 Boys ; elsewhere there were a number of Autumn marathons, particularly at Abingdon and Amsterdam where Heathsiders produced good runs, and an epic 100 miler in Oxfordshire .
Read MoreThe first Met League of the season was well attended by juniors and seniors. Conditions were unusually dry for this time of year, so it was a gentle start to XC for newcomers . There were some great results at Manchester Half and the Great Eastern Run.
Read MoreLots of action this week with the return of XC as well as races in Italy, Poland and the streets of Central London where Seyfu secured 3rd Senior male in the Vitality 10,000. Amy Kirk broke the Club U20W 10km record in the same race. Vet Robin Hardy also set a new Club V60 Discus record. Heathsiders also took part in Enfield Chasers inaugural XC race. Dylan Mills (U17M) won his race at the first NWLL XC Race of the season.
