Wins at NWLL #5 ; plus Cambridge Half & Run Through 5k

This report features the final NWLL XC for Young Athletes, where there were individual wins for Dylan Mills and Rose Schofield, plus a team win for the U17 Women ; a good club turnout at the Cambridge Half with James Hurrell and Lucy Browne to the fore ; and an age group record for Gavin Evans at the Run Through event at Victoria Park

Seyfu Jamaal (Brighton Half) and Robert Hickman (Regent’s Park 10K) both came first in their races at the weekend and Elkie Baker got a silver medal at the Winter Throws Championships in Loughborough

Gavin breaks Club 20 mile Record, Sunday XC, Battersea Half and Winter Throws

Despite the weekend of weather contrasts plenty of great XC and road race action as well as from the Southern Winter Throws Championships. Gavin Evans set a new V65 20 mile road race club record.

Vaxjo International, Sheffield indoor championships and a win in Battersea

This week’s race report includes belated results from the NWL YA league, action from Sweden, indoor championships in Sheffield and 10Ks in Battersea and Regents park. It would have also featured the final race of the Met league in Trent Park, had it not been cancelled because of a waterlogged course resulting from the recent persistent rain.

2nd place at Chingford League & Southern Indoors, plus Watford Half

There was action from track and road to report on this week, the highlights being Montana Dennis picking up a silver medal at the Southern Indoors 60m hurdles, and Sam MacAulay placing 2nd in the Chingford League at Victoria Park ; while Tom Livermore and Eric Beale took the honours at the Watford Half .

Southern Cross Country Champs and London Indoor Games

There was a good Heathside turnout for the Southern Cross Country Champs with the U15 Boys winning team Bronze. There were also excellent results at the London Indoor Games

This week’s highlights include Sam MacAulay winning the Chingford League and U20 Asia Emmanuel equalling her club women’s record bin a time of 7.85 over 60m at the London Games.

Seniors 2nd and 3rd in Met League, Sunday League and Southern Indoor AG Championships

This week’s report includes Sunday and Met League action as well as indoor Track and Field from Lee Valley. 2 Heathsiders recorded top 3 finishes in the MetLeague with Amy Kirk 2nd (JW) and Sam Macaulay 3rd (SM). The Junior Women won their race with the Senior Women 2nd and Senior Men 3rd.
