Imani Quamina sprints for England

Heathside’s two outstanding performances of the week came from U15 sprint and hurdles star Imani Quamina, who qualified to compete in the England U15/U17 championships in Manchester at the weekend. Imani, who is the London 75m hurdles schools’ champion in her age group, ran this event only three-quarters of an hour after running in the 200. Her time of 12.21 gave her fifth place in her heat. In the 200 she came sixth in her heat in a nifty 27.67.

MYAL - We are 2021 League Champions !

The Club are Middlesex Youth League Champions for the first time after finishing the last meeting at a sweltering hot StoneX Stadium on Sunday. 19 Event wins 5 Age Group Wins is only part of the storey with 5 Club Records Broken and 4 new meeting records set.

A great way to finish the Juniors Club Track and Field season with the County, Regional and Natonal T&F Championships to come.

5000s, Chimroy and Preview of Park Run's Return

Part 1 of this weeks report covers a very successful Finsbury Park 5000s hosted by the Club, record breaking feats in Battersea Park, Vets and Triatholon action as well as another great musical performance. There is also a short preview analysis of the most popular Park Runs for Club Members ahead of the events re-start on Saturday 24th.

Seyfu Jamaal takes one-mile bronze on home track

Another busy week with Heathside helping host the Golden Stage Mile at our Finsbury Park track on Saturday, with Seyfu Jamaal taking third spot while Angela Pollitzer and Julia Kelk broke Club Age Group Records. Brogan Wallace, Julia Woolcock and Simon Schupbach were in 800m action at the Linford Christie Stadium. There were a host of excelent performanced at the Vet League meeting in Stevenage. Michael Kennedy came 8th in a 12-hour endurance race in Crawley and Marco Serena came third in a 10k at Queen Elizabeth Park.

MYAL #3, BFTTA Open, ESAA and more!

The big event this week was the MYAL #3 held at Parliament Hill on Saturday, where Heathside came 1st with the Juniors winning 5 of the 8 age groups and 3 new club records were made. There was also success at the BFTTA Open, with great results for all and Amara Odegberin coming 1st in the 800m. Over at Lee Valley, Trey Corlis shone at the ESAA where he won the Hurdles in a new PB and Club record of 12s as well as setting a new PB in the Shot and 800m.
