Last weekend saw the first Sunday League of 2018, and the 23 Heathsiders who made the journey to the furthest extremities of the tube line were rewarded with fine weather and good running conditions in Cassiobury park in Watford, still resplendent in Autumnal colours.

Read MoreSaturday saw 30-plus Heathsiders traipsing off to Oxford to compete in the South of England Masters’ and Inter-County championships. The performance of the day belonged to 16-year-old Jem O’Flaherty who was the first Middlesex runner home in the under 17 event, and came ninth overall.

We had a huge variation in races this weekend from xc , indoor track, 5ks, a one miler, a 5 miler, a 10 miler, a handful of half marathons, a 15k and a 73K and the news that Sandra Buckton is fastest parkrun lady in Germany this week!

Read MoreA healthy turnout of Heathsiders took part in the annual race which sees men and women run side by side. There was success for the Men’s team as they picked up 2nd spot thanks to great running from Richard Macauley who was first home in 8th place, backed up by Esa Valtanen (13th) and Jonathan Litchfield (2nd in his age category and 17th overall).
