The main event of the weekend was the Middlesex Track and Field Championships at Lee Valley, where we had a great turnout, a decent haul of medals and some PB performances.

Read MoreThe outstanding news of the weekend (along with Heathside’s triumph at the Cambridge SAL, which gets its own special report) was that Mike Stocks managed to not only run 100 miles in The Thames Path 100, but to win the race too! Other races include Hackney Half, Maratona Sant’antonio in Padua, Last Friday of the Month, Belfast marathon and a triathlon in Gran Canaria.
Read MoreMonths of hard training and long runs finally came to an end on Sunday for at least 42 Heathsiders, who ran in the London marathon. Cheered on by Heathside’s bobble hat rabblers and the unique London public, there were great performances and PBs, and an unforgettable day was had by all.

Read MoreSebastian Harrison competed in a Sprint Tri and reports: "I did the East Leake Triathlon on Sunday just past. It was a sprint triathlon so 400m swim (pool), 22km cycle and 5km run. I got PBs in both the swim (6:28) and the run (17:58), which I am very pleased with.
