The first Met League of the season was well attended by juniors and seniors. Conditions were unusually dry for this time of year, so it was a gentle start to XC for newcomers . There were some great results at Manchester Half and the Great Eastern Run

The first Met League of the season kicked off on Saturday with a great turnout. Ladies XC Captain Genevieve sent in this report on the women’s race:” It was a really dry course this year, most people wore normal shoes. Rebecca Piggot came 2nd over all. And Eliza B came 8th which is great for her first XC. The women's team came 2nd overall and the men’s team was third. Particular well done to all of those who made their XC debut today. Welcome to Eliza, Lucy, Hattie, Martha, Jasmine, Elena, Daisy and Laura.

Ridgeway Run, 15.5k, Tring, 12.10.25
There were only two Heathsiders out of the 467 participants taking part in this 15.5k trail run which starts near Tring cricket club in the Chilterns, and winds up to the Ashridge Estate, with a number of steep ascents, before a twisty route back down to the cricket club – foggy, hilly but beautiful. Andy unfortunately got a wasp sting enroute and had a bad allergice reaction, which required medical attention, but he made a full recovery soon afterwards.
