First places at Brighton Half and Regents Park 10K and silver medal at Loughborough
Seyfu Jamaal (Brighton Half) and Robert Hickman (Regent’s Park 10K) both came first in their races at the weekend and Elkie Baker got a silver medal at the Winter Throws Championships in Loughborough.

Four Heathsiders took part in the Brighton Half Marathon at the weekend and Seyfu Jamaal came home in first place overall in a tremendous time of 1.05.28.

Regents Park 10K, Regents Park, 01.03.26
Eleven Heathsiders took part in this fast, flattish monthly 10K organised by Mornington Chasers and pretty much wiped the floor on the prizes front – Robert Hickman was first over all and Martin Potter was 6th overall and 1st MV50, Francesca Stocco 2nd FV50, Steven Topp 3rd MV40, Sandra Buckton 1st FV50 and Jackie Wastell 1st FV60 – amazing results!

England Athletics Winter Throws Championships, Loughborough, 1.3.26
Simon Baker reported: “Elkie Baker took part in the EA Winter throws championships in Loughborough which aimed to bring together the best Discus, Hammer and Javelin throwers in the country. Luckily the weather was fine but cold with a good breeze. Elkie threw her 2nd 40m plus throw of the season to take the silver medal.”
