Winning start to Met League campaign

At the season’s opening Met League event both the Senior teams performed well, with the Women’s team in 1st place, Rebecca Piggott taking an individual 2nd place, and the Men’s team in 3rd The Junior Women also won their event and the U13 boys & U11 girls placed third. Elsewhere. Seyfu Jamaal added the club 10mile record to his collection at the Great South Run, the Women’s team placed fourth at the opening Sunday League XC, and there was a good turnout at the Cabbage Patch road race

European Masters and Middlesex 10k Gold

Matthew Rallinson took gold in the Middlesex 10k heading the Senior Men to retain their title. Berlin Marathon, Vitality 10K, Westminster Mile and SEAA Road Relays

An exciting weekend of races – with six Heathsiders coming in under 2.30 in the Berlin marathon, fast times in the Vitality 10k, a club record in the Westminster Mile and great performances from all the teams in the SEAA relays in Aldershot. We also have an update from Adrian Day who is competing in the European Masters Championships in Pescara in Italy, and will be there over this coming weekend.

Rebecca breaks Club half Marathon Record

Another busy week with the gradual focus shifting to the autumn road races. In Copenhagen Rebcca Bunting set a new Club Half Marathon record in Copenhagen, closer to home was the Pride 10k. Malakai Callum represented London Schools at the ESAA Combined Event Championships.setting a new U15B Club record.

Double Gold at the Middlesex Road Relays

The Winter Season started in sweltering hot conditions with the traditional Middlesex Young Athletes Road Relays which is also the first chance for silverwear and our young athletes delivered with 4 team medals including Gold for the U15 Boys and Girls. There were first County vests for Suraya, Elkie and Malakai at the South of England Inter-Counties Championships. The Club helped host the inaugural London Masters Championships at our home track. There were also big track PB’s and great performances on the road.

Seyfu breaks club 5,000 & half-marathon record

Last weekend was packed with activity for Heathsiders and, once again, it is our Seyfu Jamaal who takes top spot. First, he broke the club 5,000m record in a time of 13:58; then, four days later, he broke the club half marathon record at the Big Half in a time of 1:03:34. Meanwhile Noelle O’Regan won gold for Ireland in the V35 400m in the British Masters’ Athletics championships in a time of 63.93, a second ahead of the second placed athlete.
