Racing is happily picking up again, and there were some excellent results over the weekend. Of note, Jack Davis Black came first at the ATW XC series U17 race, Sara Black placed 2nd woman in the Essex marathon, with Filipe Carduso and Alex Sweet both getting PBs. There were also some impressive performances at the Finsbury Park Sprint Tournament, and the Dorney Lake Half Marathon
Read MoreHeathsiders made the most of the gradual easing of lockdown last week to take part in races in and around London. The biggest headline of the week was undoubtedly Tom Archer’s demolition of the club 5K record, finishing his 5K in the BMC road race series in 14:38. Elsewhere, there were many great performances, including half marathon wins for Rebecca Bunting and Chris Holmes in Kent, and a second place finish for Sarah Swinhoe in the New Forest.

There were age group wins for Eric Beale (U13B), Amy Kirk (U13G) and Alice Metcalf (U15G) while Cailtin Roberts (U11G) was 2nd and Zephan Agbim (U11B) 3rd. The club won the U11 Girls, U13 Boys and Girls races and were 2nd in the U11 Boys race.

Thomas Archer has also been inducted onto the EA Youth Talent Program.
