Archer 6th at National Schools XC, County Indoor Track Championships & Half Marathon action

Somewhat ironically in what is likely to be the last weekend of racing for a while, there was plenty of varied racing activity at the weekend. This included the last race of the XC season the National Schools Champs, where Thomas Archer took the kudos with a 6th place finish, the Tri Counties Indoor Track championships, and road races with the Brentwood and Bath Half Marathons and a 20 miler at Gloucester. The majority of the local park runs also went ahead.

Gold at Middlesex Masters XC

10.03.2020 It was a busy weekend of racing generally, with a special triumph for Ruth, Sue and Fiona at the Middlesex Masters XC in Stanborough for winning the V45 team gold. Some impressive results were also seen at the Hillingdon 20, and a number of club records were smashed at the British Masters Indoor track and field.

Seyfu 6th in Nationals & Essex wins pentathlon gold

This has been a busy week for Heathside’s athletes with several club records falling in track events, and impressive performances in cross-country and off-road. The big one was the National Cross Country Championships in muddy Nottingham, which saw Seyfu Jamaal coming 6th in the country in the U20 event. Meanwhile Adrian Essex won the V65 pentathlon gold medal in the British Master’s championships, and our U13 star Martha Jolly leapt 4.44 meters in the long jump, putting her in 11th place in the UK this year.

Storm Den can't stop our 'Liv!

18/02/2020: With Storm Dennis blowing a hooley all over the British Isles, many race fixtures were called off making it a very quiet weekend for racing.

Trent Park Met League : Heathside Women take Met League title for 3rd year in a row, Individual success for Jake Evans in the Junior Men's race

The week’s report is all about the final Met League fixture at Trent Park, which saw the Women’s Senior team emerge once again as Metropolitan League champions, as well as winning on the day. in addition there was a great individual win from Jake Evans in the Junior Men’s U17 race. Unfortunately Heathside was pipped into 2nd place for the Howard Wilson trophy, which combines Senior Men & Womens results, only on countback having tied on points with the winners Highgate
