Ickenham 5 and various 10ks

Ten Heathsiders travelled to the outskirts of London on Sunday to run in the Ickenham 5 mile race, the latest installment in Heathside’s road race championship. It’s reputedly fast and flat, despite the the occasional sharp corner, but the warm conditions on Sunday may not have helped everyone.

Night of the 10,000m PBs, PBs and wins at the Middlesex Championships and Herts triathlon

This Bank Holiday week-end was dominated by wins and PBs. We have some belated results from the famous night of the 10,000 PBs last week, where Tom Aldred and Adam Kirk-Smith ran fabulous times, with Tom’s time being the best that that a Heathsider has achieved for many years. The highlight was the Middlesex Athletics Championship last week-end, where Heathsiders came away with 12 medals. There were many outstanding perfomances and PBs, notably from Rachel Seckl, Henry Damon, Adam Kirk-Smith, Jacob Philips, Darnell Plummer. Heathsiders also excelled in the Herts triathlon and achieved PBs in various other road runs.

No CrouchEnders cliffhanger as Heathside clean up at Hornsey 10k

Doo doo doo doo doo dooooo do...apologies both for this week’s report being somewhat slower to arrive than Dirty Den's comeback from the dead and also for the excruciating CrouchEnders ‘gags’, partly inspired by the fact that Minty from Phil's garage started the week’s big event, the Hornsey/North London YMCA 10k. London Marathon Weekend - Club Records Smashed and Heathside Ladies Scoop Bronze!

MADNESS!  plus Lily Allen, The Kinks, Ralph McTell, Gerry Rafferty - just some of the artistes, to name but a few, who have had hit songs about London, but none of whom (as far as I am aware???) have ever run it - unlike the 48 Heathsiders (at the last count) who started the 35th Virgin Money London Marathon on a fairly cool and drizzly Sunday morning.
