Heathside’s senior women team put on a classy performance to finish 16th out of 53 teams in the high standard Southern road relays this weekend, while an unstoppable Richard Macaulay left his previous 1500m PB in the dust in a mid-week Watford outing.

In all, 78 of our members competed last week – triathlon, duathlon, half marathons, cross-country, track and field, fell runs and parkruns.

Read MoreThe bank holiday weekend was pretty quiet race-wise, but I think it was quality over quantity in this case, with first places achieved in the The Last Friday of the Month 5k in Hyde Park, and two Parkruns, and in numerous races in the LICC, and some very impressive run/cycle/swim efforts in the Thames Turbo Series sprint triathlon, an excellent 3k swim and a satisfied customer in the Canterbury Half.

Well, we didn’t exactly produce Clare, but she is one of us and she did brilliantly. And when we say ‘age group gold medal’ we’re talking the 25 to 29-year-olds. Yeah, Clare is the fastest under-30 duathlete in the whole wide world.
