Bunting returns to action at Met League, Records tumble Indoors, Valencia Marathon
A true mix of events this week with Met League, Valencia marathon and opening Indoor Open all taking part, The Met league saw Rebecca Bunting 2nd in her first XC after injury, Sam Macaulay was the fastest Heathsider in Valencia and the first open meeting of the year at lee valley saw 4 new club records set.

The busy recent schedule saw numbers running at the latest Met League down but still saw plenty of great performances with highlights Rebecca Bunting’s return from injury and achieving 2nd place with Rebecca Piggott 3rd in the Senior Women’s race just missing out on 1st by 5 pts. The men finished 5th. In the Junior races the Junior Women recorded a 2nd place with Rose Schofield 3rd and Lila Blustin 4th. The Junior Men 7th, U13 Girls 5th, U13 Boys 10th, U11 Girls 4th and U11 Boys 6th. Tony Killiea won the mixed short course race.

Hannah Yip reports: “I’m still injured, but pleased to report that my partner David Ingamells (V35) ran his first half marathon in 02:23:24. He may have been a few seconds faster had it not been for a cute Labrador wandering into his path.”
