Middlesex Indoors and Road Race Action
This week includes details of the Middlesex Indoor Championships as well as plenty of road races including Seyfu 1st at the Hastings Half Marathon and Gavin Evans setting a new V65 half Marathon Championships..
Middlesex Indoor Championships, Lee Valley, 21st March (a) - 22nd March (b)
There was a great representation of Heathsider’s at the Middlesex Indoor Championships baging 4 golds, 5 silver medals and 2 bronzes as well as 8 4th places. Newly crowned county champions include Montana Dennis (U20 60mH), Asia Emanuel (U20W 200m), Ivy Paitoo (U17W SP) and Skye Murray (U15G SP). In addition there were two New Club Rrecords for Myla Miller (U17W 60m) and Ivy Paitoo.

OneRace Victoria Park 10k/10 mile/Half Marathon
Three Heathsiders ran in the Half Marathon (or actually the 13.29km event!) on a cool windless day, The race started on grass and involved 6 big laps and one small lap often dodging the 10k and 10 mile runners as well as cyclists pedestrians and dogs.
When the half marathon is finished everyone’s Garmin seemed to show that it was around 300m longer than advertised. Another niggle was that Race numbers were not sent out and had to be collected at the start.
Lauren O’Donnell was the 2nd woman in a time of 1:28.23. One place behind her was Gavin Evans (V65) in 1:28.30 a new Club V65 Record. V65 Sue Edie finished in 2:09.39.
In the 10 mile event V50 Alice parish finished in 1:28.42 and in the 10km event (also said to be longer than it should have been) V50 Roger Braybrooks came fourth in a time of 38.22.
