Our Young athletes secured a creditable haul of 5 medals at the Southern Track & Field Champs, our Men achieved 1st place in the Vet League, while over in South Africa a group of intrepid Heathsiders were up to the challenge of completing the Comrades ( ultra ) marathon, where 2 Silver medals were won. And there was a win for Seyfu amongst several quick times at the Battersea Park Speedy Steeds 5K.
There were impressive results all round this week with a number of first places and a PB at the BeFit Open in Lee Valley, and age group and individual event wins at the MYAL in Finsbury Park, where Heathside secured second place. Arthur Hawkes came 3rd at the Weybridge 10K
Following the Seniors excellent start to the SAL campaign the Club’s U17/U20 athletes recorded a convincing display in the 2nd UYDL meeting at Kingston finishing 2nd to move up to 2nd place in the table with Promotion now in sight. Chris Hartley broke the club V60 1500m record at Watford.
