Race Details

The annual road race relays which are run over a cycle circuit in Hayes.

There is a one off U11 race and then 3x3000m relays for U13, U15, U17 and U20/Seniors.

This is a Championship event with medals awarded to the first three male and female U11 runners and first 3 relay teams in each category. An award will be made to the fastest leg in each race.

London Heathside are currently U13 Girls and U15 Boys and Girls Champions.

Location

The race takes place at the Hillingdon Cycle Track, 11-12 Springfield Road, Hayes UB4 0JS.

The entrance is from Springfield Road, just off the A4020 Uxbridge Road which is in turn close to the junction with the A312. Access is to the rear of the Goals Football Centre. There is car parking and on street parking in the vicinity.

The nearest railway station is are Southall (Great Western) which is about 30 minutes walk from the race HQ or served by the 207/427 bus routes.

14.00 Under 11 Boys & Girls - Road Race (c.1500m)

14.15 aprox Under 13 Boys & Girls - 3 x c.3000m 

14.55 aprox Under 15 Boys & Girls - 3 x c.3000m 

15.35  aprox Under 17 Men & Women - 3 x c.3000m

16.00 aprox     Under 20 and Senior/Masters Men & Women - 3 x c.3000m.  (Open race)

ELIGIBILITY

All team members (except U20 and Seniors/Masters) must possess a County qualification as defined in UK Athletics rule G2, S6:-

  1. By birth

  2. By nine months continuous bona fide residence in the County 

immediately prior to the date of the championships

An athlete who has competed in a county championship or represented a county in an inter-county championship may not compete in the championships of another county in that calendar year.

Under 11 boys/girls must be 9 or over on the day of the race and under 11 years of age on 31 August/1 September 2021.

Under 13 boys/girls must be over 11 and under 13 years of age on 31August/1 September 2021

Under 15 boys/girls must be over 13 and under 15 years of age on 31 August/1 September 2021

Under 17 men/women must be over 15 and under 17 years of age on 31 August/1 September 2021

RESTRICTIONS

No athlete may run more than one leg for more than one team. Incomplete teams will be allowed to start.  One athlete can run in a team up one age group (e.g. one U13 can run in an U15 team in order to make a complete U15 team).  U11’s can only run in their individual race because of UKA race distance limitations. 

DECLARATIONS

Teams must be declared at least thirty minutes before the start of each event.

AWARDS

Medals will be awarded to the first three teams in each of the relay races.  An award will be made for the fastest leg in each race.  In the Under 11’s race individual medals will be awarded to the first 3 girls and first 3 boys.  There will be no team award.
