Rob Jackson Trophy 2022 - round 3

Serpentine’s Last Friday of the Month 5k in Hyde Park last week was the third round of the Rob Jackson Trophy.

In a repeat of the previous event, Emilia Vynnycky was the first Heathside woman home, followed by Sue Eedle who picked up a Top 3 AG bonus point. This puts Emilia at the top of the league with Sue in second place, just one point down.

Nick Haward was the first Heathside man home, and Pete Crockford picked up the most points due to bonus points gained from coming 2nd in his AG, but Andy Barnes as the only runner to have completed two events remains the competition leader.

The next race in the series is the Crouch End 10k on 8th May, however please consider volunteering for the club at this event and perhaps competing in one of the other races in the series. These include Lee Valley Velopark 10M (a great opportunity to practice pacing on a multi-lap race), Battersea Relays (short and fast), and two more races to be confirmed.

This year’s competition will also include a parkrun bonus, which you can qualify for once you have completed at least two races in the Rob Jackson competition. For more details on this please see the club website.
