This week’s report features the London marathon, with numerous impressive runs, PBs and new club records, the mini marathon, as well marathons from further afield, including Zurich, Enschede and track meetings
Read MoreAs many Heathsiders are tapering now in preparation for the London Marathon this weekend, it was quietish on the race front, but some excellent results from the Manchester and Rochester Marathons and the Reading Half. There were four sub 3 hour results at Manchester and one at Rotterdam. There was also a 10K in Little Bromley, and some late results from the Thames Towpath 10, and the Folkestone 10 where Jackie and Martin both came first in their age groups, and Martin broke the V55 club record for the distance.

Read MoreThe main events for London Heathside this weekend were the Battersea Park half marathon, a sub 3 hour marathon for James Martin in the Barcelona Marathon, the UK CAU Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships, the BFTTA Indoor Open and the Hyde Park 10k. And of course parkruns! Also excellent late results from the previous weekend– the last NWLL XC race of the season, and George Sant came first overall in the Regents Park 10K

Elsewhere there were a couple more V55 records for Damien Lane, who along with Jim Connell completed the Marathon Majors set in Tokyo, plus a 10k race at Battersea Park and the Last Friday 5K
