Sunday League Finale: Royston 18th February, 10:30am
After the Met League mud bath, here's hoping we can round off the Sunday League with a massive turn out in Royston for the rollercoaster. We have everything to play for with Women's A and B teams currently in P1, but the A team only a smidge above those plucky Garden City Runners. The men are doing sterling work too  - both men's A and B teams are still in the competition (a first, we think), so an overall top 10 finish is on if we're lucky. Some, quite rightly have their eyes on individual placings ...

The Course:  Both women and men (no gender inequality here!) will run approx 5.5 miles together.  There will be one small lap and two large laps.  The course is mostly across open downland on Therfield Heath and is hilly (nice views!).  It is suitable for spikes, studs or trail shoes.

Race HQ: Heath Sports Club, Baldock Road, Royston, SG8 5BG. Muddy footwear must be removed before entering the sports centre, especially spikes.  Please help us to maintain good relations with the sports club.

Parking: Due to several sporting fixtures we advise that you arrive early and car share where possible.

Train: from King’s Cross via Stevenage to Royston station. The Heath is 15 minutes walk from the station.

Facilities: There will be portaloos onsite for runners. Please use these rather than the toilets in the Health sports club as they struggle to cope.

Refreshments and bar available. There will be an awards-giving after the race, anyone who has time to stay is welcome. Fingers crossed.

"This sounds great, but I'm marathon training, and need some more miles this weekend!"- if this is you, let Laura know. There is a fabulous ~ 10 mile route to Baldock which can be added on.

Contact Laura Boothman (the Heathside Sunday League XC captain) on 07792191165 if you have any queries.
