To add to your possible list of training venues and sessions during any given week interval training will restart on Wednesday evenings from the Royal Free Recreation Club from September 27th leaving at 7pm promptly.
We use a variety of locations, including Primrose Hill, Regents Park and the roads around the Heath Extension. The sessions involve a roughly 2 mile warm up run to the venue (and back of course) and the intervals vary from circa 800m to approx. one mile efforts. We can cater for every standard within our club. Lockers and showers are available at the Royal Free and, blow me down, there is a pub very nearby.
Sessions also continue each week on Saturday mornings (depending on the cross country fixture list) at Trent Park, leaving the café car park around 10:15. This is a superb venue for cross country training and background aerobic base work for the spring and summer seasons.
The sessions vary each week depending on the conditions underfoot and the gathered ensemble varying from hill work to medium and long repetitions over the undulating terrain. (We don't do flat surfaces, basically.)
Again we cater for all standards within our club. There are always cars available to leave your gear in and there is the added incentive of a post-run coffee gathering (did I mention cakes?)
