Inter-counties and Masters cross-country in Horspath

08.12.18 The main event this week was the SEAA Masters and Inter-counties cross-country championship in Hospath, which saw many great performances.  There were also some excellent performances at the Lee Valley Minithon and PBs in several road races.

A River Runs Through It

05.12.18 The “raging torrent” running through the middle of the Met League course at Uxbridge on Saturday was undoubtedly the highlight of the running weekend. But in addition to the excitement of the river there were many excellent results at Uxbridge and elsewhere as you'll see in this bumper race report. At the Met league the women’s team was first, and there were first individual places in the under 13 boys - Spike Blake, and under 11 boys -  Benji Bediako. Other weekend highlights include the Sunday League, Valencia marathon (a pb for Jo McKeown),  Last Friday of the Month, the Perivale 5 and more. And don't forget to buy your Heathside Christmas party tickets!

Heathside Success in Trent Park Cross Country Fest; best of the rest

More cross country success for Heathside last weekend as the men took the honours at the Fraternity Cup Trent Park while there were several great performances from the earlier North West London League meeting. There's also news of some PB hunting in Spain and a new V60 road racing record!

Seyfu Jamaal, Heathside women take gold in London Champs

A good weekend for Heathsiders with our women - Rebecca Piggott, Josie Hinton, Kelly Thorneycroft, Rosa Serafina -  winning the London Cross Country championships at Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath, and Seyfu Jamaal taking gold as the first U20 in the 10k men’s race.

Meanwhile in the London Youth Games, also at Parliament Hill, Spike Blake, Jake Evans and Thomas Archer all came within the top ten in the U13 boys’ race while Izzy Watkins came third (and was the first Haringey runner) in the U13 girls’ race.

Seven of our members travelled to Palermo, Italy, to run in their half marathon, with Matt Beard the first Heathsider in a PB of 1:29:15 and with Caroline White as the first V60 woman in the race.
