Bunting wins at Beachy Head / Tom and Mimi win at NoTT Cross Country

Headline successes this week for Tom Archer and Mimi Blake in the U17 events at the North of the Thames Champs and Rebecca Bunting at the Beachy Head marathon. Elsewhere, Mike Stocks had the honour of representing team GB & NI and taking on the world's best ultramarathoners at the IAU 24 Hour World Championships event in France and there was a sub-16 time for Jem O'Flaherty at the monthly Serpentine 5k race.  

Benjy Bediako wins Minithon 600m

There were several outstanding performances from Heathsiders over the last weekend. Our speedy 11-year-old Benjy Bediako broke his own club record in winning the 600m in the Minithon in Lee Valley in a time of 1:42:37. Marco Serena ran a PB in Amsterdam in 2:37:51 and Heathside’s women came 6th out of 45 teams in the Southern Cross-Country Relays, with Rebecca Piggott running the fastest (anchor) leg. And we had a record number of six wins in Parkruns.

All Hail King Rob!

14/10/2019: On an historic weekend for distance running, history makers -the ladies team, returned to the mud to slay the opposition, Rob Shulman stepped up for a 100 mile race, some bloke ran 1.59 in a marathon somewhere and some woman broke a world record in another marathon somewhere......

London Youth Games, Schools Cross Country Cup,and a Masters Mountain Running Medal

10.10.19    In the week prior to the first Met League race of the season ( Claybury, October 12th ), the main activity centered  around Juniors Cross Country, with the London Youth Games trials ( Haringey ) and round 1 of the English schools cup taking place locally.

Further afield Mark Jefford put in a medal winning performance at the World Masters Mountain Running Championships, while Niamh ran a big PB at the Chester Marathon.
