Met League Mudfest and Track Gold (Part 1)

15.1.20 Heathside had a big weekend of running on muddy fields, and a few roads and tracks too. Our women won the fourth Met League fixture at Ally Pally, with Beth Hawling coming back from injury to take third place, and there were also several outstanding performances from our junior runners, including second places for Jake Evans (junior men), Ben Redland (U11 boys) and Kiara Corkin (U11 girls).  Mia Rosen won U13G 800m gold at Lee Valley smashing the club record and setting a new national leading time.  There's so much action we have had to split this weeks report in two.....

15.1.20 The Met League from Ally Pally was covered in Part 1 but this part of the report covers more Sunday League Cross Country, Road races and the Southern Indoor Championships at Lee Valley where the performance of the weekend belonged to U13 star Mia Rosen, whose time of 2:29.93 in the 800 was a championships best, club record and a new national leading time this year.

Parents are requested to ensure all new Juniors who wish to take part in "Introduction to Athletics" sessions have completed their Registration Form, which provides details of emergency contact details and any medical conditions, before attending.    .

Junior Training over the Christmas Holidays

The last "Introduction to Athletics" session will be Sunday 15th December 2019 and then they will recommence on Sunday 12th January 2020. 

The last Tuesday and Thursday Sessions will be on the 17th and 19th as usual before resuming on the 7th January.

Other training groups should, as usual, check arrangements over the holidays with their respective coaches.
