1. The Turner Shield
The Turner Shield is London Heathside’s most venerable trophy. It is awarded each year to the club’s most consistent male Cross Country runner and was first presented to the club before the Second World War,
so the previous winners include many of the club’s top runners over the years. Points are scored in the main Cross Country races each winter, usually 12 of them, and the person with most points wins.

2. The Lambert Trophy
The Lambert Trophy was presented to the club about 20 years ago by Ron Lambert, who correctly felt it was about time there was a female equivalent of the Turner Shield. It works in exactly the same way with points being scored in the same major races and with the overall winner being the person who scores most points.

3. The Rob Jackson Road Race Champs
London Heathside has organised a club championship based upon a series of road races run throughout the year over varying distances in the Southeast. Runners compete for the Rob Jackson Memorial Road Race Championship trophies, one for women and one for men. Rob was a keen road-runner and regular participant in club training runs and races who died suddenly late in 2006.

Logistics
We have tried to make the races ones that are easy to get to by public transport but if transport is the only thing putting you off racing please post something on the London Heathside page on Facebook or contact Gabi and we will try to help with lifts.  In any case please try to share lifts where possible or let us know if you are driving and can take additional passengers.
