Senior track & field training

Regular adult track & field training takes place at Finsbury Park track at the following times:

  • Tuesdays, 7pm-8.30pm
  • Thursdays, 7pm-8.30pm
    Anyone interested in track & field athletics is more than welcome to come along and train with us.

    Heathside has regular training groups in the following areas:

  • sprints
  • middle distance
  • long distance/endurance, often including road-runners (Tuesdays only)
  • jumps, throws and multi-event athletes also regularly train at the track, focusing on different disciplines from session to session.

    Additionally, track & field athletes can train away from their disciplines:

  • Heathside athletes can use the Finsbury Park gym
  • advice on technique and drills for improving it is available
  • strength and conditioning advice may be obtained
  • stretching is often part of training sessions
