Accessibility
Heathside wishes to ensure that its web site is accessible to all.
- Accessibility features
- The web site is HTML 4.01 and CSS standards compliant.
- Text on the site responds to browser text-size controls.
- The web site includes extra markup to make it easier for users of audio / Braille browsers to navigate.
- Use of colour alone to convey essential meaning is avoided, as is use of strong colour combinations and of any flickery effects.
- The navigation system aims to be consistent and easy to follow.
- Max 3 clicks from any given page to any other.
- Users should be able to navigate the site without using a mouse or other pointing device.
The software used for Heathside forums provides good accessibility features but not necessarily all of these.
Please contact us if you find you cannot access material on the web site for any reason, or indeed material which is linked to from the web site.
