Legal considerations
Do not tag photos with information that could be used to track down people appearing in them unless you have their permission to do so. Names are usually ok!

We will delete any photos of juniors if their parent or guardian asks us to. You must get their permission to use the photo in the first place.

You retain copyright of any material you may upload.

Picture size
The photo album software automatically resizes uploaded photos so that display images tend to be no greater than 50KB in size. We are limited in space available for the photo album and will periodically delete originals.

Please only upload very large images (greater than 500KB) if you think we may wish to edit them for use on the website.

Picture quality
It is usually best if your subject fills the frame - so get as close as you can when taking Heathside photos.

Image editors such Microsoft Paint allow you to crop high resolution photos to get the same effect. More sophisticated editors such as Adobe Photoshop also enable you to tweak colour and contrast. The Irfanview editor is a free alternative that works on Windows and provides much of the relevant functionality.

Video
The album can stream video but it is up to you to ensure that any videos you upload are the right size for this. You need to know what you are doing! Broadband users should be able to view video at up to about 1MB per minute.
